Junior is an autonomous mobile asparagus harvester. Built on a tank chassis, Junior drives along the rows of asparagus and uses a camera to identify the next harvestable spear. Once it has reached the spear it stops, extends its arm, grabs and cuts at the base of the spear, and rotates the arm up to deposit the spear into the onboard storage.
At this stage in the project, all designs have been completed and all components have been ordered.
